The Nation’s Trusted Consignment Dealer, Many Locations Nationwide 1968 Oldsmobile Cutlass Stock: 1306-TPA Engine Size: 350 V8 Transmission Type: 2 Speed Automatic Exterior Color Matador Red Interior Color Parchment Miles: 17,970 (Unknown) Location: Tampa, FL Vehicle Options Air Conditioning AM/FM Radio Defrost Heat Original Warranty Card Owner's Manual Power Brakes Power Steering Seatbelts-Front Seatbelts-Rear Vinyl Interior Description No one combines sporty and luxury together as nicely as Oldsmobile. Thats especially true for this 1968 Olds Cutlass Holiday Hardtop coupe with classic red paint, a comfortable A/C interior, and quite correct-looking V8. Add in an affordable price, and you know this is a great deal on a sleek classic.
The Olds A-bodies went through a redesign in 1968 to make them the look like the longest, widest, and sleekest car on the road. And the flared fenders, rounded rear, and long pillarless Holiday hardtop silhouette of this coupe makes it an unbeatable classic. Plus, no one did a better job of rear bumper integration in the '60s than Oldsmobile. Up front the era of extra wide cars is showcased on two sets of headlights with so much space in-between that you can fit a horizontal parking light. And that S badge in the center is correct because these coupes were technically the Cutlass S model that designated the sporty shorter wheelbase than the sedans. That's why it also deserves this stylish red paint. It wasn't born this color, but thanks to a quality high-gloss lacquer finish (yes, true classic lacquer!) people will swear it is. You even have Olds Super Stock wheels with redline tires. So this one really does go the extra mile to look both vintage and sporty.
Take some time to really check out the level of correctness in the interior. The Moroceen Parchment is the factory-correct color, and it looks fantastic. The texture on the seats and matching door panels are more reminders of Oldsmobile's more luxurious image. This might be an intermediate size coupe in the '60s, but in today's world that means you have room to easily carry up to five family and friend along with you. And this preserved Cutlass have everything from the AM/FM radio to factory air conditioning to keep them happy. But even if it's just you going out for a solo drive, this Cutlass doesn't disappoint. You get the factory three-spoke sports steering wheel, and beyond that is a nice tri-pod gauge setup that makes this feel like a great driver's machine.
Under the hood is the unmistakable golden block of the Oldsmobile Rocket V8. This 350 cubic-inch motor is not original to the car, but it is period-correct. Plus, the way it's presented, right down to the air topper, will have people always assuming this a survivor-grade coupe. More than just history, we love the Rocket motors for their hardy reputation. That's what makes this such a great cruiser. Add in features such as power steering, power brakes, and an automatic transmission, and you understand why an Olds is the best choice for Sunday driving.
Complete with the original Protect-o-Plate warranty card and owner's manual, this is the complete classic. And since it's being offered for quite a nice price, you don't want to miss out. Call today!!!
