eBay Up for auction at no reserve is a true 242 1969 Pontiac GTO. This GTO is PHS documented and was originally a limelight green car with a black interior that was ordered as a 400 3 speed manual transmission (car still has clutch pedals hanging). With a 355 posi. This GTO was sold new at Carson Pontiac in Kirkwood Missouri. It had 7 options according to the PHS which I attached a photo of. This GTO is one of 22,032 with a factory 400 4 barrel and a manual transmission. The car does NOT run. I have never had it running. The gentleman I bought the car from raced it and drove it on street he said last summer the car developed a knock in the motor and he stopped driving the car. The car has hood pins so it is missing the latch. I bought the car and planned to put a 428 and a 4 speed I have in it. ..but plans have changed. The car has a built 400 with block code of y6 it has the original 48 ram air heads. The car is not numbers matching it has an Edelbrock performer aluminum intake and a Holly 750 carb on it with headers. He supposedly had all paper work on the motor but couldn't find it. ..I wasn't too worried about it anyways since he said the motor developed a knock in the bottom end. The car has a turbo 350 transmission and still retains the original ten bolt rear end as far as I can tell. The car has all 4 matching 14 inch Rally's on it. Someone drilled holes in the deck lid for a spoiler on it at some point in time. The body on the car is pretty nice. ...it looks to have had quarters put on it at one point. ..but who ever did it did a pretty decent job. The trunk floor is pretty solid the inner wheel tubs are nice. ..the outer wheel tubs on passenger side does have a small patch very common. ..the floors and the frame of this GTO is very nice and original as you can see in the pictures. Looks like someone put a small patch on front drivers side floor but that's it. The deck lid on car is pretty nice and not too rusted like most 69s. The doors are decent I believe they have a little putty in the corners of them. ..the front fenders are nice. The hood is nice and solid and it looks to have functioning ram air scoops in the hood(don't know if these are orginals or not) the core support on car is nice and solid as well as the firewall is nice and not rusted. .the endura bumper seems to be nice and not bent or twisted. .the car at best is a ten footer paint job and interior as you can see is decent but no where near perfect. The middle of the hood the paint is peeled due to a small carburetor fire the last owner had. The car wouldn't win any show classes at a car show but a nice driver that you don't have to worry about rock chips or scratches. Besides the motor needing rebuilt or replaced I would address the wiring harness on the car. Someone rewired the car them self's and the previous owner told me everything worked as far as all running rights and gauges but I was going to spend the money and buy a new oem factory replacement harness and have it installed when I did the motor but that's just me . .I'm sure you could keep it way it is and run the car. The car does have a clean and clear Ohio title ready for the next owner if you have any questions or concerns please email me and I will do my best to answer your questions. .I do have more photos of the car as eBay would only allow me to upload 24. ..thanks and good luck! Please only place a bid if you are a serious buyer. ..you are more then welcome to come and look at the car in person before bidding I do require a 500 dollar non refundable payment within 24 hours of winning the car. On Feb-17-19 at 16:56:59 PST, seller added the following information:Please anyone that is new to eBay or has less then 25 feed back please email me before bidding on the car I don't want anyone wasting my time and I also want a fair auction for anyone that is truly interested in the GTO. .thanks for understanding.
