**FYI** I just drove home to North Georgia from Central Florida & the car handled beautifully! The cruise, air, heater, radio/CD, and steering wheel controls all worked flawlessly. The brights (lights) are incredible compared to my van. I would trust this vehicle tomorrow for a cross country road trip! Oh yes, I have a reputation for slow driving. 😊 I looked at the speedometer early in the trip & I was shocked to see that I was going 80! I couldn't tell because the ride was so smooth. Also, at 70mph I let go of the steering wheel & the car didn't drift left or right, it drove straight as an arrow. One thing a little disappointing. The rear defroster doesn't work as quickly as my van's. This is a great car. Somebody is going to be very pleased! Because of the trip & other driving, the mileage is now 33,837. If you buy this vehicle & aren't satisfied after you test drive it, we will cancel the sale & refund the $1000 down payment.
Most people have heard of the little-old-lady car, but few, including myself, have ever seen one. They are usually 10+ years old, very low mileage, very well maintained, and one owner. This 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer is that car. The previous owner recently went into a nursing home, and I just happened to be in the right place at the right time. As nice as it is, it's not suited to my needs (I drive a van or a truck.) But this Lancer runs and drives beautifully, like a brand new car.
There are many receipts available that prove how frequently the oil was changed, that the tires only have 7000 miles on them, that it was just thoroughly detailed, and that I had it checked out by a reliable mechanic (who said he'd buy it if I didn't).
The engine is extremely clean (see photo). The interior is exceptionally clean, with no stains, tears, or cuts (see photos). It's always been in Florida, so there's no rust. The paint is in very good condition for a 10 year-old car, but the clear coat is not perfect everywhere. But as you can see from the photos, it still has great shine.
There are photos of the four exterior flaws. 1.) The driver side mirror. 2.) White highway paint below the passenger front door that is stubborn but can be removed. 3.) Some scratches behind the passenger rear wheel that don't appear to be deeper than the clear coat. 4.) Discoloration (not rust) under the plastic splash strip. Other than these, there are 3-4 tiny dings, probably from rocks flying up or other people's car doors.
**UPDATE** After this listing was finalized, eBay's AutoCheck was activated, and it reported a minor accident in 2010. Please go through the complete report, because it states that there was NO DAMAGE AND NO INSURANCE CLAIM. The accident involved a bicycle, and the owner must have reported it to the police.
|“Very low mileage, scrupulously maintained by the elderly woman who was the only owner. The interior is exceptionally clean. The exterior is very good overall, with only 3-4 tiny dings, and minor flaws that are shown in the photos.” |
