eBay I'm selling my pride and joy car to lower my debt and to help finish up with my home projects. It really saddens me to let it go, but hopefully I can invest into an older 996 Turbo in the future.
I just had an independent pre-purchase inspection done on 12-18 from my Porsche repair shop, and I'll disclose the findings along with 2 pages of estimates.
1st of all they informed me that the front bumper is cracked underneath, but is not visible from the front of the vehicle. I drove it for over a year without noticing anything other than a loose area on the driver's side in front of the wheel area. I've included the hand written parts list with prices, but these are retail prices than can be found cheaper online from many Porsche direct dealer websites. The other page shows a service estimate that should be done in the near future, but I had the oil changed less than 1000 mile ago with the Mobil 1 European Synthetic, the only one to use except for maybe Amsoil.
Here are the results from the PPI;

I will except reasonable offers, but regardless of the issues that need attention, this is a very solid car with lots of driving enjoyment in the future for the next owner/owners. It also has a clean Carfax record, I have a membership so I can keep tract of all my personal vehicles. I'm not desperate to sell this, and I won't take any lowball offers either. If you look at the older air cooled turbos for sale, you will notice the high asking and selling prices they are going for today. I'm guessing in another 8-10 years, the 997's win have a similar value to them, much, much higher. I forgot to mention that I just replaced the wheel center caps after these pictures were taken, I bought the new original multi colored ones.
