eBay We have two 2003 Volkswagen Eurovans for sale. One is an MV, the other is a GLS. Both vans are being sold as they are. The MV has approximately 209,000 miles on it. The GLS has approximately 120,000 miles on it. We are the first owner of the MV, and the second owner of the GLS. Both have been great vans, and we're really sorry to see them go...
We are selling them together with the thought that between the two the new owner will be able to piece together a pretty nice van and keep the second one for parts.
The MV:
Interior: No rips or major stains. Rear-facing jump seats easily removed. Fold-out table; rear bench seat folds out into a queen-size bed; camper curtains have never been used.
Mechanical: Well maintained; engine runs strong and does not burn oil. Transmission feels great and has never had an issue. Regularly-scheduled oil services. Newer exhaust system from the catalytic converter back. New starter last year. Power steering squeals; system was checked and no leaks. Electric door locks recently stopped working. ABS no longer works; No A/C; brake, ABS, and Check Engine lights are on.
Suspension: New front Bilstein shocks and brakes at approx. 185,000 miles. Many front end parts replaced over the past two years. Tires are good.
Exterior: Some rust, and the driver door was recently struck by a deer; does not open from the outside. Some rust along the rocker panels. The windshield is cracked.
The GLS:
Interior: No rips or major stains. Forward-facing center bucket seats bolted to the floor.
Mechanical: Well maintained; engine runs strong and does not burn oil. The transmission is unreliable; from time to time it will down-shift and will not up-shift, then eventually down-shifting to neutral and not working at all. Stopping the van for a while to let it re-set gets us home. Cold A/C.
Suspension: Brakes done at approx. 110,000 miles. Tires are good.
Exterior: Body is nice. Left rear rocker dented at the dealership; the repair was never pursued by prior owner. Curt hitch used for a bike rack; the van was never used for towing. The windshield is cracked.
Winner is responsible for picking up and transporting the vans.
