2002 Pontiac Trans Am - WS6 1 of 22
100+ Pictures - VIDEO walk around
This 2002 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am WS6 Collectors Edition is powered by a 5.7L LS1 V8 backed by a 6-speed manual transmission, and is 1 of 22 cars used for the Nascar parade lap at the Napa Auto Parts 500 Winston Cup race at California Speedway. The WS6 package included Ram Air induction, sport suspension, dual outlet exhaust, and 17″ wheels with Goodyear Eagle F1 tires. The car is finished in yellow over black leather, and retains a factory stripe package and Monsoon sound system. This WS6, at he Nascar race had #50 and #49 on each door. It does have a clean Carfax and a clean Oregon title, see photos in the listing.
If you know anything about these cars, they are pretty special, this is the last year of the Trans Am, and they only built 2000 of these cars. Of the 30,690 buyers in the last model year of the T/A.. only 2,391 (7.8%) opted to pay the additional $3k for the Z15 Collector’s Edition package. There were 2,391 we’re built but 1 was destroyed at the plant and subsequently scrapped so only 2,390 were delivered. So the general break down was this, 1,042 were convertibles and 1,348 coupes. Of the 1,042 convertibles; 554 we’re equipped with the manual transmission. What's neat about this car, not only being a Convertible 6 speed WS6, these cars were built to perform not some dress up car, the WS6 package was a big deal in the Firebird line. I really like this car, especially the connection of 1 of 22 Cars used at the California Speedway. I believe there were some used at the Daytona 500 not sure how many though. But for both races, they did not have to make any modifications to the stock Collectors Edition cars, they were built to handle the task!
I could write a bunch more about the car, but take time and watch the 30minute Youtube video, and view all the photos, over 100 of them, it will tell you a lot about the car, inside, out, underneath, it is a very thorough video.
I have always done auctions here on Ebay in the past. But honestly, I think people just want a price, and we can go from there, give me a call, if you are serious about owning this one, call me, and make an offer, find out more information, and yes come and see it in person if you like first. Thank You, Jason - DENWERKS - 503-910-208
The Special Collectors Edidtion interior is trimmed in black leather with embroidered Firebird logos on the front headrests. The car retains a factory Monsoon stereo, Matching CE Firebird-logo floor mats, stock steering wheel, and shift knob. An aftermarket amplifier and bazooka tube subwoofer are mounted in the recessed rear section of the trunk floor. The seatbelt holder on the passenger seat is broken. 36k miles are shown on the digital odometer.
The 5.7L LS1 V8 was factory rated at 325 horsepower in WS6 Ram Air specification, and sends power to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission. These cars were built to drive, not just a color and sticker package, they were true performers, which is really important to me when considering a car like this. Detailed photos of the underside are provided in the gallery below, and show the floors, suspension components, driveline, and more.
The window sticker is signed and framed alongside a photo of the 22 cars used at the Napa Auto Parts 500 Winston Cup race on April 28th, 2002. A signed statement from the president of California Motor Speedway and the head of Pontiac Western Region marketing indicates that Ken Schrader and Jimmy Spencer rode in this car during the parade lap. The original MSRP was $39,605.

I've sold classic cars on eBay since 2003. During the past 14 years, I have sold around 950 classic cars sold online through eBay, Craigslist and BringATrailer auctions to buyers across the country and internationally, including Europe, Dubai, Australia, Japan and Brazil, just to name a few.
What I love about these old cars, is that I get to own some of my favorite cars one at a time, I have turned this passion into a business, but for me it is an awesome time to enjoy the cars themselves. I've enjoyed getting to know other car enthusiast from all over the Continent, especially some that have become very good friends of mine because of our love for cars.
If you would like to call me and talk about the car, that would be great. I would love to help you out. Feel free to schedule a day to come out before you bid or send a friend, inspector or transporter. Although I always try to detail every nuance with the vehicles, it is always better if possible to see it with your own eyes. I am close to a major airport and many transportation options.
These are classic vehicles with lots of history. They are used, and not perfect. They don’t have warranties or guarantees. Each vehicle is sold as-is. There are many reputable inspectors in and around Salem and I will accommodate their schedules. I try to give a good description and post at least 75 photos so you can get a good gauge of what it is, and isn’t. Thanks, Jason 503-910-2085
