[isdntekvideo] Here is a nice looking 2001 Porsche 911 Cabriolet up for sale. The car runs and drives well but is a bit rough around the edges. See my video description above for a detailed condition report! Give me a call with further questions at 949 2 8 5 – 8 0 1 1
Exterior wise, the paint is in fair shape with rock nics on the front bumper cover and a spider crack on the bumper as well. Hood has a few rock nics and rear bumper has a small stress crack and some paint fading. Right rear quarter has a crack in the paint about 8” long or so. That being said, as you can see from the photos the car doesn't look half bad! I would rate it about a 6.5 out of 10 overall. Convertible top doesn't have any rips but rear of the top is coming out of the anchor bow and could be put back in. Rear window looks like it was just replaced. Convertible top does not work, when you push the power top button, all windows go down and the header latch unlatches and you hear the motor but nothing happens.
The interior is in fair shape overall. The driver and passenger side seats look good with only a tear in the driver outside bolster which has been taped up. Capeting looks very good all around. Dash looks good with no cracks or issues. Center shifter console has some typical scraches from use. Climate control center console looks good and AC blows cold and heater warm. Has an Alpine head unit which has bluetooth, USB and AUX inputs. Speakers in the rear are made by Sony. Interior has no bad smells and was a non smoker thankfully. Door panels both look good and all four windows power up and down with no problem. The switch in the header latch is a bit worn out and you have to put your finger on it to make rear widows roll up, otherwise it thinks top has not been latched.
Mechanically, the car starts runs and drives fairly well. Engine runs smooth and is quiet. I have no service records indicating the IMS bearing or RMS seal. Tiptronic transmission shifts very well with no hard shifts, slips or issues. The car drives quietly down the road and no noise from the rear end or trans whine. Tires are Perelli in the front with about 15 to 20% in the front and Hankook in the rear with about 20%. Brakes up front look good and rears are showing the brake wear light on. This should really be considered a project car for someone who knows how to tinker with the little things it needs or else it will bleed you dry paying a Porsche mechanic to do the work!
