Datsun 240Z, manufactured June of 1972, original color believed to be 112 Yellow, California car, for restoration, Engine # - 113 819... Corresponds with data tag
This is a 1972 Datsun 240Z restoration project, manufactured according to the data plate in June of 1972 in the desirable color of 112 Yellow, it has been off the road for many years, registration is non-op, engine number 113819 matches VIN data plate. If you are reading this I am sure you know about the 240Z model, this car offers an excellent basis for restoration, the body is straight, front spoiler was an after market fiberglass unit which I removed, the car comes with most of its original front lower panels, the center section and one side is there, one corner is missing, it does show though that it is super straight, I can see no accident damage, gaps are excellent, see pics. The floor is original, there is some rust found under the seats, although new pans are included, I’d be inclined to repair whats there. Rockers are excellent. The spare wheel well is solid only showing surface rust . The rockers are solid , the floor pans straight. The only other obvious rust is underneath the battery tray and on the slam panel for the trunk lid, again a replacement panel is included. The engine is complete and has recently benefitted from a new fuel pump, it fires on starter fluid and the number matches the VIN plate. The interior appears complete for the most part save carpets, which you’d replace anyway. Please look at the pictures, I’m happy to answer any questions.
