Selling my 71 240z to fund the build of another one i have. build date 8/71. All VIN plates match and the engine block seems to be original according to VIN plate. original color is safari gold. Rare automatic trans, but these cars are easy to swap to manual. Great for restoration. I have included several pictures below. Rust in typical places but not too bad. i have tried to take pics of all that i can see. most sheet metal is pretty nice...lower valences, grill, rear wheel spats, headlight buckets, hood, fenders, doors, and quarters are all pretty straight. front frame rails appear to be straight. On the passenger side in the wheel well area i did find some evidence of previous accident damage. It looks to be superficial and could be fixed with a little metal work. The vertical pinch weld where the fender bolts to is straight as well as all the engine bay sheet metal, so thats good. looks like the damage is just the boxed section. i have a few parts cars and i could work with the buyer to cut this piece out of one of those cars. I took a few more pics of that area.Engine doesnt seem to turn with my small socket wrench, i didnt put much effort into it though, but i am selling the car as needing a full restoration including engine.
