This car was purchased from the second owner about 4 years ago. I looked for a long time before finding this car. I wanted something rust free, because I knew I was going to be putting a lot of effort into the car and I wanted to start with something solid. What I found, was this very nice 1970 El Camino. At the time I bought the car, almost everything mechanical was new: motor, transmission, suspension including all the springs, brakes. This vehicle is a factory SS 396.
The motor is an HO '68 Camaro that has been bored .040 over and I believe it is 406 cubic inches. All the weatherstripping has been replaced with new soft seal rubber and the headliner was also new. The paint is an absolutely beautiful shade of blue, of excellent driver quality with very few imperfections. The last few photos show the passenger's side of the car, front of car, after market seats (very comfortable!), driver's side of engine, underneath the transmission and the bed with the tailgate open, to show no damage or rust there.
