Hello, re-listed, due to a bidder that did not read the description, concerning the item location, and, expected me to bring him the car, over 2000 miles and let him test drive the car, before he paid for the car, yet, after he won the auction. As you surely know, it doesn't work quite that way. So here we are again. Same great car, different day. Here, directly from San Diego, CA is a 1962 Studebaker GT Hawk. You can call me to discuss this vehicle in detail at (217) 550-3428.This is a very original and unmolested (other than an older re-spray in pale yellow), example of the first year for the Gran Turismo Hawk. It features the original 289 V8 and automatic transmission. All of the gauges work, except the speedometer. The odometer also does not work. Speedometer cables are readily available, so if you wish, for a small charge, I can install a new speedometer cable. This California Hawk starts easily, idles smoothly and runs strong. The automatic transmission shifts sure and true with no slip. We do have the original owners manual in excellent condition. The car is a pleasure to drive and will be an instant hit at your local drive-in. The body is straight and very rust free. The undercarriage and frame are straight and rust free as webll. The floors are very nice and solid...trunk floor too. The chrome does have some pitting but looks pretty good. All the lights work as they should, as well as the wipers signals, heater and horn. The tires are recent and the hub-caps original. This GT Hawk has not been restored. The original color is white, however we think it looks great in this pale yellow. The interior looks original. The seats are in excellent condition, so they may have been reupholstered some time ago. The door panels are excellent and original, as is the headliner. Even the dome light works as it should. The front brake lines are recent and the brake master cylinder is new. The exhaust looks new as well. The glass is all good with no cracks or stars. Bid with confidence, as we have sold fine automobiles from coast to coast, Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, Mexico, Central America, The UK and all over Europe. We ship Worldwide.Just call or contact us with your zip code, or preferred port, for a fast shipping or transport quote.
Good luck and happy bidding!!Cooper Motors, LLCTuscola, IL

“Very, very solid floors and frame. Very original and unmolested. 289 V8, Auto. Runs and drives excellently. New exhaust, new brakes. Nice interior. Original AM radio works great, wipers, fan, horn, lights, signals all work well. Drives and handles very well. Very straight body and super solid undercarriage. Chrome has some pitting, a few paint chips visible in photos. This is a survivor, un-restored 62 GT Hawk that you can enjoy as is, or very easy show restoration.”
