Submitted for sale is my carbureted 1979 Fiat 124 Spider 2000. Although the car has been tagged in Florida, it has been covered in storage in Salinas, California since September 2014. The car had been my pride and joy but after I became ill I could no longer take care of her. The car had been lovingly restored with original parts with the exception of the CD/Radio and the woodwork on the dash. I had that hand made from Carpathian Elm Burl veneer.
Please know that the car has not been running but will start with a battery charge. There are three issues with this nearly 40 year old car; there is an electrical short with the brake lights that presents itself when the lights are turned on. The synchromesh gear for Fourth Gear needs to be replaced or serviced (it never bothered me; I always went from 3rd to 5th directly without a problem). And lastly, there is a fluid leak with the Master Brake cylinder.
A number of valuable parts are included with the sale including the tan top boot cover, new Fiat floor mats, new tires and a new vinyl tan convertible top. The car had also been repainted Ferrari Red in 2013. The clock's crystal is clear as you can see by the pictures.
If you are interested, please contact me for further questions. The car is at a friend's garage in Salinas and I will forward my friend your contact information if you are serious in investing in her.
