Health forces sale of my rare 1968 Firebird Sprint. Less than 1900 Sprints were made with automatic trans, and this number includes Tempest models. This engine was designed by John Delorean for the Javits car show in 1964. It was installed in a Pontiac Banshee, never going to production. But the engine in 1 barrel and 4 barrel versions (Sprint) made it as an option into Tempest and Firebirds from 1966 – 1969. Banshee: here Car has been repainted original Primavera Beige and has Pontiac 15” Rallye II wheels. Rear quarters have been replaced and the trunk and rockers are solid. Engine has new 8MM wires, spark plugs, Pertronix ignition and coil, and a new Edelbrock 500 CFM carb with electric choke. I had planned to convert the car to a 4 speed while retaining all original parts. Car has an aftermarket floor shifter for the PG trans. Engine runs and trans shift fine. Car has manual disc brakes up front and drum brakes in the rear. $500 via PAYPAL required in 48 hours if purchased. Bank check or cash needed for the rest. Car for sale locally so I can stop the listing at any time.
