Completely NEW restoration.
Replacement floor pansNew rockers - all three components. Be certain any MGB you consider buying had all three plies replaced, not just the outer / visible one. All door and panel gaps are excellentCompletely rust-free and fully undercoated, even in the plies of the rocker panels.Completely stripped and painted. Body shop did an excellent job. Custom paint color is between original Mineral Blue and original Surf BlueOriginal metal dash with textured finishNew leaf springsAll new replacement suspension parts with polyurethane inserts (not rubber)New tiresNew brakes, rotors and drumsAll new brake and clutch lines. New master cylindersNew fuel tank & fuel linesInterior has epoxy primer throughout with FatMat heat and sound control under carpetAll gauges original and working except the fuel gauge which may need a new fuel sender.4 speed transmission, bench tested and new seals.Rear differential bench tested and new sealsEngine re-bored and completely re-built. Excellent oil pressure. Mileage listed is since the engine was re-built.New camshaft, valves, head and engine componentsAll engine parts and ancillaries painted to original specsNew radiator, water pump & hosesRe-built distributorRe-built SU carbs.Gear reduction starter All new interiors, carpet and custom door panels.LeCarra wood steering wheelLED tail lights and turn signalsBluetooth Out of sight Audio with new speakers. All new body chrome & bumpersThe only thing I have not done is restore or install the tonneau cover or soft top. Some of the heater controls need adjustment – poor original cable design makes them difficult to adjust. It starts right up when warm, needs a nudge on the choke when cold. Very tight handling with all the new polyurethane bushings. 1967 is a very desired year because it was the last year for a metal dash and does not have the emissions restrictions that went into effect in 68/69. Other MGB years come a lot less but the 67 keeps its value.
MGBs have notorious rust issues, especially in the rocker panels and floor plans. This car has ZERO rust. The rockers and floor pans have been fully replaced. The interior partitions of the rocker panels have been sprayed with interior frame coating. The car was on a rotisserie during restoration and all body sections have been thoroughly inspected, repaired as needed, and under-coated. You can purchase this car with full confidence that there is no rust and it is likely protected from rust far better than when it came out of the factory.
The restoration is fully documented with photos and receipts. This is a brand new car!
